Rion doesn’t try to be all things to all people; the company simply offers what it believes to be well-built and designed greenhouses, made from the optimal materials to encourage.
Here’s a thumbnail look at what you can expect with a Rion Ecogrow:
Size And Detailing: Three sizes of this greenhouse are available, all of which can fit into a small garden and most of which can fit into just about any size of allotment: 6 x 6, 6 x 10 and 6 x 12. Each comes with one opening roof window for ventilation, a single outward-opening door complete with lockable latch (certainly desirable in windy areas), and lots of room for working inside the structure thanks to the distinctive Dutch barn roof which allows extra clearance for both heads and plants.
Glazing: One type of glazing, 6mm twin wall polycarbonate, is standard on all Rion models with no options for horticultural or toughened glass. That’s fine for most people, though, because the polycarbonate material provides outstanding UV protection for the plants inside the glasshouse, Similar material, but 4mm thick, is used for the roof panels. The advantages to polycarbonate glazing – unbreakable with unparalleled insulation – are obvious.
